April 8-12!

Rain, rain, rain!  A lot of rain this week for us, but we still managed to learn, watch some baseball, and get outside!

We have been reviewing how to write upper- and lower-case letters.  What a great job!

We watched some of the Opening Day game for the Red Sox!

During science, I taught the kiddos about the water cycle and they made water cycles in a bag!

During literacy centers, the kiddos practiced reading, spelling and writing Snap Words with rainy day activities!

They played Hide a Snap Word on our pocket chart.

The kiddos did their best handwriting to write the following sentence: I will put on rain boots.

The boys and girls also worked to identify a picture on a raindrop and then read/color the corresponding CVC word.

We got warmed up before our Fun Run to support Miss Garvey who ran the Boston Marathon!

For art, we made an easter craft with egg shaped sponges, paint, markers, and rectangular pieces of brown paper!
