Welcome to April!
We welcomed a new friend this week and the kiddos are super excited!
Our literacy centers were basketball themed this week in honor of the ending of March Madness!
The boys and girls learned 5 common digraphs: ch, th, sh, ph, and wh. They took turns spinning a spinner and then coloring a picture that began with the digraph on which the spinner landed.
We worked on using our best handwriting to write the following sentence. Great job Evie!
The boys and girls also played Basketball Snap Words with a group! They read a Snap Word on a hoop, and then colored the basketball with the same word.
For science, the kiddos learned the difference between living and nonliving things. They learned that living things eat, move, grow, and can reproduce. They later completed this sort by themselves.
We made umbrellas and raindrops for our craft!
