All About Me!

Hello Everyone!
My first day of Kindergarten 1997

My name is Beth Farr and I am 27 years old!  It is my sixth year teaching kindergarten.

I have wanted to teach Kindergarten since I was 5 years old, due in large part to the incredible kindergarten teacher I had.  She is now a good friend/mentor for me, so I understand (and have experienced first hand) the importance of a nurturing, energetic, and passionate teacher.

I grew up in New Hampshire in the Monadnock region and I graduated from Endicott College, where I played field hockey, in May 2014 with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education.  I am attending Salem State College for my Masters in Reading.

Elsa makes school appearances too!
Before becoming a teacher, I was a camp counselor for five awesome summers in my hometown.  I was able to further increase my skills in "classroom" management, in planning experiences for children, and I was able to strengthen my confidence as an adult that children look up to.  I also was able to dress up in some really awesome costumes that have definitely come in handy!

In my non teaching life, I love spending time with friends and family, cooking new recipes, and binge watching Netflix.  I enjoy shopping at Barnes and Noble, the Loft, and Target.  I love to play field hockey.  I am a huge fan of Italian food, Goldfish, milk, and desserts. I love anything and everything ocean themed.

Besides my passion for teaching, I am also extremely passionate about volunteering for Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp for children aged 7-17 who have experienced the loss of a sibling, parent, or primary caregiver.  I have been involved with CZC since 2014 and it has truly changed my life!
