This week we welcomed a new student to our class! Here she is!
In math, the kiddos practiced identifying numbers that are one more. They played a one more game and built math stairs with a partner.
During Fundations, two groups worked with me and played "What's In the Letter Bag?"
Another group played an initial sound game. They took turns picking a card, identifying the object and the initial sound, and then covered the letter that represents that sound with a mini eraser!
The kiddos also sorted objects by the initial sound /p/ or /j/, practiced writing letters on their white boards, and played Lalilo.
During Reader's Workshop, we practiced using our Pointer Power to read books at our tables!
During science, we sorted pictures to show some animals that can fly and some that cannot!
