March 11-15!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This week's literacy centers were all St. Patrick's Day themed!

We have been working on writing with our best handwriting. The kiddos cut out words and placed them in order to make the sentence "Look at the funny leprechauns!"

The kiddos listened to There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover by Lucille Colandro.  They then cut out and glued the things the old lady ate in order

The boys and girls practiced reading some of their snap words and then colored the correct shamrock

For poetry center, the kiddos read "Five Little Leprechauns" and searched for 23 snap words!

Monet and Shea love partner reading!

For science we did our Walking Water experiment!
The kiddos LOVED this experiment as much as I do!

This week we began our next math module by learning about number bonds! The kiddos used counters and cubes to show how a whole number can be broken into two parts!

On Friday, a leprechaun visited our classroom!

We have some fantastic artists in our classroom!
