February 25 - March 1 Happenings!

Read Across America Week!
We celebrated Dr. Seuss and multi-cultural books this week!

On March 1, I introduced the kiddos to their Morning Meeting Folders.  Everyday, we write down the number of the day in the month, graph our weather, and cross off a number on our hundreds chart to see how many days are left in school!

We went fishing for Snap Words written on Dr. Seuss fish!

We read The Reader's Oath, searched for 26 (!) Snap Words and then colored the illustration.

The students spelled CVC words using magnet letters.  All the words matched Dr. Seuss pictures!

The kiddos went cruising and looked for Dr. Seuss and some of his characters!

The kiddos also listened to Ten Apples Up on Top and then drew themselves with apples on their heads; one apple for each letter in their name!

Favorite Character Day!

Wacky Wednesday!

 On Thursday, we made Things!
