June 5-9 Happenings!

Two More Weeks!

We are wrapping up the year very quickly and before we know it, it will be summer vacation!

This week we had our walking field trip to the local library!

Then we had our Learning Fair Thursday evening where the children shared work with their parents that they have completed throughout the year.  On Friday, we played outside in the morning and rocked our tye-die t-shirts for Student Appreciation Day!

Reading
Our story this week was The Night Worker by Kate Banks.  One night, the main character in this story, a young boy named Alex, goes to work with his dad who is a construction worker.  Alex sees all different kinds of machines that work at night, such as a bulldozer, a cement mixer, and an excavator.

Fundations
We practiced spelling CVC words as well as words with digraphs!
