What a crazy short week we had! We only had three days this week, but we still had fun!
Also, we finally completed our pumpkin bulletin board!
Fundations
We learned the letters p and j this week. We practiced writing the letters and identifying their sounds. On Monday, we spent some extra time working on vowels! I gave the kiddos the letter, they gave me a word, and I drew a picture of their word!
Centers
Handwriting Center
The kiddos traced the letters p and j and then colored the corresponding keyword pictures, "pan" and "jug."
Social Studies Center
The boys and girls read and colored a booklet about Veteran's Day!
Pocket Chart
The kiddos worked to sort pictures by the beginning sound /p/ and /j/.
ABC Center
We traced, wrote, and searched for the letters p and j. The kiddos then drew a picture of something that begins with each letter!
Let's Find Out
We read about turkeys this week! The kiddos enjoyed coloring a turkey as well as learning what turkeys say!
