December 16 - 20 Happenings!

Happy Holidays!

The kiddos and I had a great week before heading off for winter vacation!

The boys and girls worked on identifying the initial sound in words and then covering that corresponding letter inside a snow globe with a mini eraser!

One group of students worked on reading CVC words!

During math, we learned about solid shapes and did our best to make them out of playdough!

The kiddos also built snowman to show the different representations of number.  For another center, they rolled a die, wrote the numeral, and placed that number of buttons on a gingerbread cookie!

With a partner, or in a small group, the boys and girls played Alukus' 3D Shape Arctic Adventure and named the solid shapes they spun!

On Thursday, we learned about Hanukkah and played dreidel with our table friends!

We worked on our top secret Holiday gifts for our parents!

These boys had a blast building with Lincoln Logs on Holiday Sweater Day!
